Christian Taylor Profile

We've been projecting 2014 White Knoll offensive tackle Christian Taylor to be one of the top prospects in his class for a while and it didn't take long for him to land his first offer. During a visit to an ACC school the 6'4 330 pound prospect got the good news. He spoke with at length about his visit and thoughts about landing his first offer.

"I am on a visit at North Carolina State right now," Taylor told us Saturday a little after noon.

It wasn't long after that when he hit us back with the good news.

"I just got an offer from NC State!"

The 2014 prospect talked about what he was able to see and his experience while in Raleigh with the Wolfpack.

"I went through all of the football building, into the stadium and up into the box for press and the chancellor's suite. I saw the reporters room and the ESPN announcers' room."

Taylor says that offensive line coach Jim Bridge is his recruiter. He talked about his feelings upon learning he was being offered.

"On the inside I was super ecstatic. I was jumping up and down but in person I was calm and collective."

Asked what he liked most about his time at NC State Taylor had plenty to say.

"I liked the people there, they were very honest. I liked that they are the Wolfpack and I am a Timberwolf already at White Knoll (laughs). I also like the most the facilities were 10 years old and looked brand new, not a speck on them."

Apparently being the first school to offer may be a big feather in the cap for the Wolfpack too.

"I think in the end with them being the first school to offer me it will give them special consideration. They trust me to be a player they could need. They were the first to offer. So the first to actually give major interest."

Receiving his first off the 2014 prospect says only fuels his fire to work harder and try and land more scholarships soon.

"It definitely motivates me to work harder to know now that these guys aren't pulling my leg like I kinda thought at the beginning! I definitely plan to work way harder every play until the time on the practice field is over and the time on the scoreboard rolls off!"

Already having seen quite a few schools for visits already like Clemson and Georgia Tech along with NC State, Taylor says he plans to continue to hit the road this off season hopefully.

"I plan on seeing Wake Forest soon. I also hope to visit Alabama and maybe Ohio State. But I just have to see what happens in the future. I hope maybe LSU and somewhere out there like a Southern Cal or Oklahoma for an official visit this coming year."

Prior to checking out NC State, Taylor made a second visit to Georgia Tech the previous week, we'll have an update concerning his trip with the Yellow Jackets as well. So stay tuned to for more of the very latest regarding his recruitment.
