2013 DT D.J. Jones Picks Up Offer #1

The wait is over for 2013 defensive tackle D.J. Jones of Wren High School. After a superb junior season at Carolina High School Jones moves up from AA to AAAA play and he got some great news on Memorial Day in the form of his first scholarship offer. The 6'1 288 pound prospect will undoubtedly see more offers start coming in soon especially after he starts his senior season!

D.J. Jones Profile

One of the state's most underrated prospects, 2013 Wren High defensive tackle D.J. Jones, got some good news on Memorial Day. The 6'1 288 pound prospect exploded on the scene after a Top 10 overall performance at a Nike SPARQ combine in Charlotte. Schools have been showing strong interest but he picked up offer number one on Monday.

"I just got my first offer from Newberry," Jones messaged us.

In-state schools Clemson and South Carolina are also in the mix currently along with Duke, Georgia Tech, and Georgia. Expect a lot of schools to wait until Jones starts his senior season with Wren. Last year he was one of the state's most dominant forces on defense when he played at Carolina High School. He helped the Trojans make a deep playoff run in the AA ranks but will move up to the AAAA ranks with the Hurricanes. We see no reason why he won't be able to duplicate much of his success from this past season.
