With a long list of suitors currently 2014 cornerback Jawanza Adams of Woodmont High School could sit back and rest on his laurels...but he doesn't. The ambitious prospect sat down with SCPrepNation.com on Friday to talk about what's on his upcoming agenda and talked at length about what he's doing currently to prepare for his junior season.
"I've been working on conditioning primarily and my upper and lower body strength so I can be prepared to play offense and defense if I'm asked to. I'm also watching a lot of film on teams that we play in our region. Mainly the spread teams in our region."
That preparation has Adams already thinking about his first game of the season he says.
"We start off against Wren so I'm expecting a lot of throws."
Adams is making plans and preparations off the field too. To try and give himself a chance to see the field soon on the next level he shared with us his thoughts.
Outside of football the 2014 prospect doesn't have much else planned this summer but that could change next summer. We also asked him if he had any early leaders at this point.
"Nah nothing really this summer but next summer I kind of thought about taking some summer classes so I have the choice to enroll early but it was just a thought in the near future."
There are other schools out there that Adams is hoping to hear more from in the near future as well he told us.
In fact, Adams is set to camp with the Virginia Tech July 14th. He's looking forward to seeing what the Hokies have to offer and put in work while on campus there.
