Working hard as always 2013 defensive tackle Devontay Moore of Allendale-Fairfax High School is anxious to get his senior season underway. The 6'1 275 pound prospect is a monster in the weight room as he's reach some remarkable numbers there in his most recent max outs. Moore has picked up a pair of offers and has strong interest from plenty of other schools as well.
A pair of out of state programs are the first to offer Moore and he says a pair of in-state schools are showering him with plenty of attention as of late too.
"North Carolina A&T offered me and so has North Carolina Central. Coastal Carolina and Charleston Southern are high on me also right now."
Moore says he had a chance to camp with two schools this off season and he talked about what he enjoyed most about those programs.
"I camped with Clemson and Coastal Carolina this Summer. I felt comfortable at both schools. I also like their coaching staffs and both schools have great choices for majors."
Hoping to impress more schools early on in the season Moore is hoping to add more offers to his resume. He says he'll also take every opportunity he can to visit schools on Saturdays to take in gameday atmospheres and see what else various schools have to offer him.
As stated earlier Moore is one of the state's strongest prospects and he chimed in with some of his most recent maxes in the weight room.
"I maxed out with a 450 pound bench press and a 610 pound squat."
Given his strength and hunger to impress more college coaches once the season starts don't be surprised to see Moore pick up more offers if he starts strongly during his senior season. SCPrepNation.com and the Fox Sports team will have more updates with Moore and other top prospects here in South Carolina so keep it right here!!!
