In his first game back this season 2013 safety Corey Dogan of Blue Ridge High School had a major impact for the Tigers. With 20+ schools showing Dogan interest currently we're betting that he'll land his first offer before too long after a huge junior season, tremendous testing during the off season, and a strong start to his senior campaign. We caught up with Dogan to talk about it all on Wednesday.
"It was my first game back and I had 13 tackles and an interception," Dogan said.
Last year as a junior Dogan had 121 tackles, 2 interceptions, 3 forced fumbles, and 5 pass break ups. This off season he went out and showed the South Carolina Shrine Bowl catches that he's indeed a worthy candidate to make this year's team to face the North Carolina Shrine Bowl team in December.
Dogan ran a 4.39 second 40 yard dash, a 4.27 second pro shuttle time, and broad jumped 9'10".
Schools have been showing Dogan a lot of interest since then and some new schools have entered the mix since we last spoke to him a few weeks ago.
Dogan says he'll be very active in getting out to visit various schools this season as well. He's hoping his early senior season play paired with his huge numbers last year as a junior will land him some early offers. Dogan will journey to ACC, SEC, and Southern Conference schools.
