Christian Taylor Profile

The Clemson Tigers easily handled Ball State last Saturday and they hosted a number of recruits as well. One of the state's top 2014 prospects was on hand to take in the game and more in White Knoll's Christian Taylor. The 6'5 330 pound prospect already holds an offer from North Carolina State and it appears that others could be on the verge of joining the Wolfpack. We caught up with Taylor as he talked about his trip to Clemson and more.

"It was fun, I always enjoy going to visit them. They are so friendly and fun to be around up there!"

Having been to Clemson before we asked Taylor if there was anything different he was able to see or experience during this most recent visit.

"I didn't do too much more than before, but I got to have more interaction with players after the game!"

The coaching staff also apparently was also glad to see the mammoth offensive lineman back in town for another visit.

"I got to speak with Dabo and coach Venables, also offensive line coach. Coach Caldwell and coach Venables were both really excited to see me. They said they want film from my first few games this season and for me to come to any home game I want to."

With the Tigers putting on another offensive assault against Ball State what did Taylor think about being able to witness it all up close and personal firsthand?

"I thought there offense played well. There is always room for improvement, but as it gets later on in the season it will only get better and more versatile as the year goes on."

Having had a chance to interact with the players one in particular Taylor paid close attention to he says.

"I got to spend some time with Dalton Freeman, and some of the skill players. But I really like Dalton. He's a great player with tons of talent and heart. You can't beat that in a guy!"

Taylor says his White Knoll team is now 3-1 on the young season and they will have a bye tonight but get back in action next Friday.

His mailbox has been loaded with mail from schools all over and he talked about some of the new schools who have started to show their interest recently.

"I have gotten new interest from North Carolina, LSU, Washington, Florida State, Dartmouth, California, UCLA, and a few others lately."

As for schools who are recruiting him harder than other programs Taylor says that too is a long list.

"I'd say that Clemson, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, Wake Forest, Duke, and Auburn are probably recruiting me the hardest. Florida State sends like 4 pieces of mail a day and Alabama has been sending me a lot more mail lately."

Taylor will be on the road again this weekend as he'll visit the school he holds his offer from, North Carolina State. He also talked about some other schools he'll be visiting with this season.

"I'll be at NC State this weekend, South Carolina soon, Clemson again, and probably Tennessee hopefully."

Taylor and White Knoll will face Lugoff next Friday in hopes of pushing their record to 4-1 with a victory. Stay tuned to SCPrepNation.com for more updates with Christian Taylor and other top prospects here in the Palmetto State!
