Kerry Williams Profile

Things started out slowly for the Gaffney Indians this season but things have started to turn around for the AAAA powerhouse. One of their top prospects 2013 OL/DL Kerry Williams talked about the very latest with SCPrepNation.com.

"It's been going really good."

The Indians knocked off rivals Dorman last week 14-0.

Williams has been an instrumental piece to the Indians success and colleges are starting to take a closer look at him. He already holds offers from Alabama State, Gardner-Webb, and Newberry.

Some new schools have started recruiting Williams as of late and he will also be taking a visit this coming weekend to an in-state program that is showing him interest.

"I'm heading to Columbia to see South Carolina take on Georgia. The coaching staff wanted me to come down and visit. I'm really interested in USC and hopefully I can get an offer from them."

"UNC Charlotte is interested in me also. Also North Carolina State has been in contact with me lately too."

Williams says he's hoping to land offers from Appalachian State, South Carolina, and North Carolina State in the near future.

Gaffney's record is 3-2 currently and they travel to Wade Hampton (Greenville) on Friday night.
