After being verbally offered a while back by Wisconsin former Mauldin High and current Georgia Military College safety Tiquention Coleman got some affirmation last night. The hard hitting prospect gave SCPrepNation.com the news on Tuesday night and he talked about the very latest regarding his offer and more.
"Head coach Bret Bielema took the time to call me last night and told me that I have a home at the University of Wisconsin. He said that the whole staff loves me and he cannot wait for me to get up there next Friday on my offical visit so he can show me around."
Coleman says he'll be there next Friday to take his official visit as the Badgers will host Ohio State on Saturday. We asked the safety what he likes most about the Badgers at this point.
"Right now I haven't visited or anything yet, but they have show ntons of love towards me. They took the time to fly down to Georgia to see me practice and talk to me so that means a lot."
Wisconsin isn't the only school in the mix right now for Coleman. He holds offers from Georgia Southern and UNC Charlotte currently. Memphis verbally offered him but he hasn't heard from them as of late. He also took an official visit to Arizona last weekend to see them upset Southern California. Although the Wildcats have yet to offer they are definitely a player in his recruitment right now after the visit.
"Arizona was a neat place to be at, and the upset win over USC was really positive to experience. I can definitely see myself playing out west in such wonderful weather with no humidity."
Coleman isn't really ready to close the door on any schools at this point but he did mention that Wisconsin and Arizona are out front slightly after the offer and visit thus far.
"There are other schools in the mix definitely, but they are the main two right now."
So what will Coleman be looking for on his official to Wisconsin?
"Just meeting the whole staff in person and drawing up personnel and figuring out my role in helping the Badgers to continue winning games in the near future if I choose to attend school there."
The GMC prospect says he has no idea as to when he'll make his decision but it could come as early as next week he told us.
