With a couple of offers on the table 2013 cornerback Demario Evans was looking at his options recently. With much thought and deliberation the talented Ridge View prospect came to the realization that he wanted to pursue his dream to the fullest.
"I am going to sign with Hutchison Junior College in Kansas," Evans told SCPrepNation.com.
The electric play maker is hoping to follow the path that another former prospect from South Carolina who went to Hutchison and excelled in wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson. Patterson is now regarded as one of the top wide receiver prospects in this year's NFL Draft after a strong year at Tennessee.
"Yeah I was looking at that situation with Cordarrelle and said I can do what he did or even better. Its all up to me! So I'm working hard now both in class and on the field. I could have went to South Carolina State or Hampton but I want to play D1 football."
Given his determination and motivation we won't bet against Evans realizing his dream of playing D1 football in the next few years. Stay tuned as we'll continue to track his recruitment.
