College coaches are enamored with superb athletes who can come in and make a difference within a program. One athlete who has showcased his athleticism, toughness, and drive to succeed in recent years is 2014 running back Ryan Moore of York High School. Moore has been a workout warrior and he's set on making it to the next level.
"I've been hearing from a lot of schools lately, consisting of Auburn, Oregon State, North Dakota State, Furman, UNC Charlotte, Lehigh, and many more but those are the ones showing the most interest right now."
Moore has been highly active in the weight room and in improving his speed. This was all evident after a recent combine showing.
"I went to the VTO combine and my fastest shuttle was 4.10 seconds. My fastest 40 was 4.67 seconds. I was also invited to the VTO Elite 100, it's an invite only event this Saturday. I also got invited another combine sponsored by Under Armour."
Moore says the work in the weight room has him up to 5'10 196 pounds right now. He's also raised his maxes in the weight room as well.
"I've gotten my bench up to 345 pounds, my squat is over 500 pounds, and powerclean right at 300 pounds now."
After the conclusion of this interview Moore buzzed us back with another school showing heavy interest.
"I just got off the phone with the running backs coach at North Dakota State. He said they want to offer but they want me on campus first. Running back is one of their main targets right now and both of their backs are seniors. I'm definitely highly interested in them especially being a program with such a winning tradition."
NDSU has won back to back 1AA national championships in recent seasons.
SCPrepNation.com will have more updates with Ryan Moore as he continues to push towards landing his first scholarship offer soon.
