The wait is over for 2014 Belton Honea Path High School linebacker Kendall Joseph. We've been singing his praises for almost 2 seasons now and he got the long awaited news he's been waiting on...his first offer on Sunday.
"I got offered by Louisville yesterday," Joseph told us.
"The linebackers coach Brian Jean Mary offered me."
One of the state's most underrated players Joseph may be on the verge of finally getting his due with his first offer coming from the BCS program on Sunday.
The Cardinals weren't heavily involved with Joseph prior to the offer and Joseph admits it caught him somewhat off guard but in a great way.
"Charlie Strong had messaged me for a while asking me for my info but it (offer) was kinda out of the blue."
Receiving that first offer was quite a relief for the 6'1 220 pound linebacker.
"It feels great! I was a little concerned with some of these schools being 50/50 on me. I still have to keep working hard everyday though. This is more motivation to keep getting better. We'll see what happens!"
"Yeah I still do. They are showing great interest and I feel like this offer might be the igniter for them to offer me. I plan on performing at the Nike Football Training Camp in Atlanta on the 13th of April to open more eyes."
Stay tuned to SCPrepNation.com for more updates with Kendall Joseph as we fully anticipate his recruitment to take off in the coming months as his film continues to circulate and other schools start to take a closer look.
