The wait is over now for 2014 cornerback Jawanza Adams of Woodmont High School. The talented prospect who is on the radar of so many schools finally picked up his first offer last week. Come inside with SCPrepNation.com as we have all the latest with Adams.

"I got my first offer from Newberry last Tuesday," Adams messaged us.

Asked what it felt like to finally get his first offer Adams had this to say.

"It feels good but I'm ready to prove myself and earn many more hopefully."

The 2014 cornerback will be hitting various camps this summer including one this weekend.

"I'm camping at Marshall this Saturday. They're showing heavy interest and I'm open to everybody right now. I plan on camping with Virginia Tech, Duke, and UNC Charlotte right now."

Being seen in person is what a couple of schools have said. Adams hopes that and good showing at those camps will lead to more possible offers.

"Yes sir I'm high on Marshall's board and they want to see me in person they said. UNC Charlotte is saying the same thing as them plus I visited there in the spring."

Adams says that Missouri along with Marshall and UNC Charlotte have been showing the most interest as of late.

He also shared with us some of his new maxes in the weight room and some of his numbers from a recent Shrine Bowl Combine.

"I maxed out on bench at 250 pounds, squat at 365 pounds, and power clean at 245 pounds. I ran a 4.58 second 40 recently and 4.62 laser. I and ran 4.06 pro shuttle at the Shrine Bowl Combine."
