Schools have already started setting their sights on 2014 Blythewood High linebacker Jalen Williams. For the 6'0 215 pound prospect it's a process that he's enjoying and hopes to earn more offers moving forward. We caught up with the outstanding playmaker as he's "UP NEXT" with SCPrepNation.com.
As previously stated there's an abundance of offers already on the table for Williams. Nine to be exact.
"Right now I have offers from Air Force, Appalachian State, Wofford, Furman, Presbyterian, Campbell, North Carolina Central, Coastal Carolina, and Charleston Southern."
Out of those schools Williams says that Appalachian State, Air Force, Wofford, Furman, and Charleston Southern are recruiting him the hardest right now.
Asked if he felt like any particular schools may be on the verge of offering the 2014 prospect said he was unsure of where his next offers could come.
One thing he is certain of is where his strengths are as a linebacker and an area he wants to improve drastically heading into his senior season.
"My strengths would be my sideline to sideline speed and how quickly I can get down hill to a quarterback that is rolling out."
"I need to improve on my zone pass coverage."
With so many schools involved already the 2014 prospect is very sure of what he'll weigh heavily when looking at potential colleges.
"In order, early playing time, proximity, and coaches."
Williams shines in the classroom as well as on the field too. While he racked up 140 tackles last season he also carries a 3.9 GPA in the classroom as well. He had something he wanted to share with potential college coaches too.
"I want them to know that I'm a hard worker! I will not be out worked and that I put my all in everything that I do. From the field to the classroom."
SCPrepNation.com will have more updates with Jalen Williams and other top high school football and basketball prospects here in South Carolina so keep it right here for all the latest recruiting news.
