At 6'5 175 pounds Greenwood High wide receiver Markeyvious Adams has become a player that schools are starting to show plenty of attention to. With in-state Clemson hosting him already the 2015 prospect stepped out of state recently to check out the Georgia Bulldogs for their Dawg Night festivities. He sat down with us to detail how things went for him in Athens with the Dawgs.
"Dawg Night was good. I was able to talk to the wide receivers coach Tony Ball one on one."
Adams says Ball spent a good deal of time speaking with him and detailed some of what was said.
"We talked before the workout. He just talked to me about what type of players UGA looks for an how to continue to work hard in class and on the field. He said he could look at me and tell I was an athlete."
The 2015 prospect says he enjoyed that coach Ball took the time to talk with him individually and he also talked about other aspects of the trip that he enjoyed most.
"I really liked the agility drills because those were some new drills that I haven't done before. Also being able to sit in the conference room and listening to the game plan for the them was cool. We had about a two hour delay because of the rain and they had to make adjustments so we did that and listened to the strength and conditioning coaches about what they do."
As of right now Adams says he has no set plans for visiting Athens again soon but he told us that he'd definitely like to check out the school and the Bulldogs' game day atmosphere if afforded the opportunity.
Adams posted 29 catches for 261 yards and a touchdown as a sophomore last season. Keep in mind that the Eagles run out of the wing-T formation so their forte is running the ball down opposing team's throats.
Adams visited South Carolina over the weekend and we'll have a separate update to talk about his trip to Columbia...stay tuned!
