We spoke to former J.L. Mann High and Tennessee commit Pat Martin about where things stand currently regarding his recruitment. The 6'1 205 pound safety is now at Highland JUCO in Kansas and he shared the very latest with us in this update.

Pat Martin Profile caught up with former J.L. Mann High standout safety Pat Martin to talk about the very latest regarding his recruitment as he's working his way back to D1 football playing currently at Highland Junior College in Kansas.

"Yeah I'm at Highland right now. I'm grinding right now and focused on my grades and finishing strong. It's been a long journey."

Asked what schools are in the mix Martin shared that list with us.

"Right now I just have an offer from North Carolina. I think Utah and Arizona may be on the verge of offering soon."

Martin says he signed with UNC out of Arizona Western but some of his credits wouldn't transfer so he moved to Highland to play one more semester and is on course to finish in December.

"Yeah UNC wants me out in December."

With some of his credits not transferring previously Martin says he had to change some of his ways and buckle down even more while focusing even harder to make sure things go smoother this last semester.

Would other offers be of interest to Martin?

"It depends, right now I'm just focused on this season and my books. It's a long way until I have to make a decision but UNC has been with me for a long time."

The only other school Martin says has been in contact as of late is Oklahoma State.

We'll keep you abreast of any news regarding Martin's recruitment as he works towards getting back to the D1 level.
