On Monday one of the state's most underrated 2014 defensive prospects finally picked up his first offer.
Last year Mauldin DL/LB Charles Freeman was an All-County selection and put up some mind boggling stats along the way.
This year teams are trying to find a way to keep him out of the offensive backfield and making plays again. Gaffney's coaches said after their dramatic high octane game that they planned all week to try and keep Freeman at bay because of his abilities.
"Limestone just called and offered," Freeman messaged us.
It is Freeman's first offer and he's hearing from a number of regional schools. Freeman has recently visited with North Greenville and Newberry in recent weeks.
Although he lines up mostly as a defensive lineman the 6'0 200 pound prospect says that Limestone is recruiting him as an outside linebacker which is where we project him to play at on the next level.
