Better late than never. It is a phrase that is often used especially when it comes to sports and especially recruiting. Such is the case for 2014 Byrnes wide receiver Shaedon Meadors. We've been singing his praises for over a year and a half and the talented record breaking receiver is starting to see the fruits of his hard work down the stretch as we march towards National Signing Day.
In the past week Meadors has picked up three more offers and he talked with us about the very latest.
First came an offer from Temple which was quickly followed by an offer from in-state Coastal Carolina.
On Thursday evening Meadors messaged us, "Wake Forest just offered me."
The Demon Deacons didn't offer under resigned head coach Jim Grobe but since taking the job new head coach has made Meadors a priority and followed through with the offer on Thursday night.
"Coach Higgins actually offered me," Meadors told us.
Coming from one of the BCS conferences does the offer from Wake Forest move them up on his list?
"It feels really good to get an offer from Wake Forest. It moves them towards the top right now I think."
Meadors says other schools are still actively pursuing him and he wants to see who else may offer down the stretch.
"There may be some more offers so we'll see."
Meadors had 1,864 yards receiving and 33 touchdowns which was just one short of tying the national single season receiving touchdowns mark.
