It has been an interesting recruiting process for 2015 Byrnes running back Isaiah Hill. At 6'1 215 pounds Hill has great size for a back and played very well for the Rebels during his junior season. This past weekend Hill made the short ride up I-85 for a Junior Day visit.
"I went to Charlotte for their Junior Day," Hill told us.
Asked on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best how he enjoyed his time in the Queen City Hill said, "I'd give it an 8."
One area that Charlotte impressed him was their weight room facilities. He also said that the coaches spoke with him while he was there a little.
"They said they like my size and that my grades are good."
Hill reports a 3.2 GPA currently and told us previously that getting a good education will be one of the factors he looks at heavily when choosing a college. Other areas he'll look at heavily are style of play, coaching staff, campus life, and facilities.
There has been some good news recently for Hill as well since our last update with him.
"I got an offer from Western Michigan. I was really excited to get my first offer."
Other schools showing Hill interest as of late are Old Dominion and Towson he says.
There are some schools that Hill is hoping to hear from in the near future in hopes that they may be looking for a running back.
Check back with us as we anticipate Hill drawing more interest from colleges this off season as one of the larger and skilled running backs in the Palmetto State for 2015.
