4-star Dreher SG Tevin Mack Talks The Latest

In today's game scoring comes at a premium and that's something that 2015 Dreher High shooting guard Tevin Mack can do in an efficient manner. The 6'4 prospect sat down with SCPrepNation.com to talk about his recruitment, schools he's interested in hearing from soon, areas he's looking to improve on this off season, and what his team will need to make it to the next round of the AAA playoffs.

Late in the season 2015 Dreher shooting guard Tevin Mack continues to power his team in the AAA playoffs here in South Carolina. The scoring wiz sat down with SCPrepNation.com to talk about his recruitment, goals for improving this off season, what schools he wants to hear more from soon, and about tonight's playoff game against Greenville.

There's a long list of suitors for Mack and he gave us the list of schools he's hearing from currently.

"Right now I'm hearing from Clemson, Georgia, VCU, Southern California, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Saint Louis, Geoge Mason, Florida State, Wake Forest, and Tulsa."

Right now Mack says he has six offers and he told us which schools have stepped up with offers for the junior standout so far.

"I've got offers from Georgia, Virginia Tech, Houston, Jacksonville, Miami (Ohio), and Stephen F. Austin so far."

We asked the 4-star prospect if he had a timetable on making a decision for college and he says that he will wait until he takes all of his official visits and will decide late in the process. At this point he says that he is "wide open to everybody that wants to recruit him" at this point. In fact, Mack has some schools that he'd like to hear a lot more from in the near future in hopes of landing more offers.

"I'd like to hear more from probably UCLA, Memphis, Texas, and Syracuse."

The 2015 prospect talked with us about the strengths and areas for improvement in his game too.

"I'd say my biggest strength is definitely my scoring ability. I really want to improve on my ball handling and becoming more athletic this off season to get even better."

Tonight Mack and his Dreher squad hosts Greenville in the AAA playoffs with a chance to play in the Upper State Championship on the line. He talked about tonight's game and what it will take to emerge victorious.

"We don't know much about them yet but we got our scouting report last night in practice, but we'll just have to play hard like always and execute our plays."

Uncertain of his exact averages Mack says he's averaging about 24 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 block per game right now.
