This past weekend hundreds of the top high school prospects from the Carolinas and surrounding states converged on Charlotte for the NFTC and Rivals Camps that were in town. One of the South Carolina's very best but also most underrated prospects was in attendance, Bishop England's Hudson Little. The 6'4 275 pound offensive lineman/defensive end talked with us about his time in Charlotte and what his plans are to help his recruitment take off here soon.
"Yes sir I attended the Nike Football Training Camp on Saturday and the Rivals Camp on Sunday. Both of them were great."
Playing at a relatively small AA school Little has been wondering if he's been overlooked by playing at a smaller classification school but he got a chance to lock horns against some of the region's best over the weekend.
"I felt good going against them. I held my own and was able to hold my own against almost all of them. I went up there barely knowing anything of defending the pass rush and at the end of both camps I learned more than I've ever known. The coaches were able to really teach us individually of how to do everything properly."
For the weekend he competed as an offensive lineman but he's planning on working out at defensive end at the next camps that he participates in so coaches can see how versatile he can be. We actually like him better as a defensive end but Little is willing to work wherever a college coaching staff would like whether its on defensive or offensive line. He too however leans more towards playing on the defensive side of the ball if given a choice.
"On April 12th I've got some invites to some colleges' Junior Day and Spring Games. NC State, Coastal Carolina, and South Carolina. I just have to figure out which one I'm going to."
Schools have been showing interest in Little but he told us what his next step is in the recruiting process.
"I'm sending out emails with my highlights included to all colleges today. I'm going to try and send it out to as many schools as possible just so I can get my name out everywhere even more."
We've seen clips of his highlights and its the reason we've been so high on Little for some time now. In our opinion he has D1 level talent and probably should already have a good number of offers already. While we like him on the defensive line it shouldn't be long before college coaches catch on to the highly underrated prospect from Bishop England High. Named an All-State selection as a sophomore and junior he's got a reputation here in South Carolina already and now he's awaiting that first offer.
We'll have more updates with Hudson Little as we anticipate his recruitment to heat up rather quickly once his film starts to make the rounds.
