The Clemson Tigers offered 2015 S/ATH Denzel Johnson late last year and the A.C. Flora prospect sat down with SCPrepNation.com recently to update his recruitment as Clemson may not be the only Tigers in the hunt for Johnson soon. Come inside to get the scoop with the talented athlete from the Midlands.

Denzel Johnson Profile

Keeping busy so far this off season is 2015 A.C. Flora safety/athlete Denzel Johnson. Working out and preparing for his senior season next year the versatile athlete caught us up to speed regarding his recruitment, off season, and upcoming visits planned.

"I have been to the NFTC in Atlanta, the Rivals Camp in Charlotte. I was ranked 21st out of at least 300 prospects at the NFTC event in Atlanta with a 95.83 SPARQ score."

Asked what he liked best about the schools he's been hearing from the most recently Johnson says that "All look and sound very interested so far so we'll see."

As of right now Johnson's lone offer comes from the Clemson Tigers. Another group of Tigers has been showing strong interest as of late and he talked about it all with us.

"I think Auburn could be the next to offer me. They called my coach asking for me. They said they like my film and are interested in me at wide receiver so far. They said they are going to come see me near April 20th."

Auburn and Clemson aren't the only schools pursuing Johnson pretty hard right now he says.

"So far Auburn, Clemson, and Florida State are all recruiting me pretty hard compared to others. Florida State is recruiting me as an athlete."

He says that Clemson likes him as a defensive back while Auburn likes him more at wide receiver.

More visits are upcoming for the 2015 A.C. Flora prospect and he gave us a rundown of his tentative travel schedule.

"I plan on going to visit Florida State, Duke, Georgia, and Cincinnati for Junior Days."

As of right now Johnson says he is still wide open to all prospective schools and has no favorites at this point.

Johnson says he has added 14 pounds of muscle to his frame since the season ended now checking in at 194 pounds.

SCPrepNation.com will keep you up to date concerning Johnson's recruitment as he looks to add more scholarship offers to his resume. Could the Auburn Tigers join Clemson in the race for his commitment? We'll see....

Over the weekend Johnson informed us that he has been invited by Down Under Sports to play in the International Bowl in Australia.
