Tavin Richardson Talks Wake Forest Offer

2015 Byrnes High wide receiver Tavin Richardson picked up his 15th offer over the weekend from Wake Forest. The talented wideout talked in depth with SCPrepNation.com about his trip to Winston-Salem and what the Demon Deacons had to share with him while he was there.

Tavin Richardson Profile

"It was great! I got a chance to talk to the wide receivers coach, the offensive coordinator, and coach Clawson the head coach."

The Demon Deacons pitched their vision to Richardson and he talked about what the staff said.

"They said I have a good chance of coming in and playing my freshman year at the X or Z spots and they love what I contribute on the field."

The 2015 standout talked about some of the other things he likes most about Wake Forest as well.

"I like how the campus is all close and how it's not a long drive so it's not a problem for my family to come see my games."

With 15 offers now Richardson has a lot of options on the table and he talked about what his tentative plans are for whittling that long list of offers down in the future.

"I'm going to break them down to 7 by summer time and probably commit on my birthday which is November 3rd."

With a date in mind already Richardson says that he is still wide open to anyone who wants to recruit him at this point. Schools coming late may have to make up some ground at this point but it can be done.

Right now Richardson is focused on trying to get better moving towards his senior season next year for the Rebels. He says that he's concentrating on improving his route running, speed, footwork, and getting stronger. The Rebels will have a new head coach at the helm but he's a familiar face in alum and former assistant coach Brian Lane who has been the head coach at Woodruff and South Florence since he left Byrnes. Richardson talked about the vibe he has playing for the former Rebel quarterback who now leads the program.

"Its going to be an up season for the Rebels! Yes sir we are all pumped up for him because he is going to have this program back to the way it used to be with the new coaching staff."

As for now Richardson said his next visit will be to check out Georgia Tech's Spring Game.

SCPrepNation.com will have more updates with Richardson as he continues to be one of the state's hottest prospects with 15 offers so keep it right here for the very latest...
