The good news came finally for 2015 Orangeburg-Wilkinson quarterback Austin Bradley last week. Learning of the news we caught up with Bradley to talk about his game, his first offer, recruitment, and plans for next season.

"Yes sir I received my first offer from South Carolina State."

"It's a real blessing. I've been grinding and praying hard for this day to come so it's really a blessing."

Bradley says he was offered by SC State assistant coach David Blanchard.

The 2015 prospect says he has other schools taking a hard look right now too.

"I'm hearing from Coastal Carolina, Furman, and Appalachian State a little."

The junior signal caller has taken a few visits as well. He talked about both schools and what he enjoyed about each program during his visits.

"I've visited James Madison University. They have a great campus, great facilities, and the players have great attitudes and so do the coaches."

"I also checked out SC State's Spring Game. I like their winning tradition, the coaches, the offense, and the team as a whole really."

During his junior season Bradley says he had over 2,000 passing yards and passed for 27 touchdowns with a 65% completion rate. He says he also added a rushing touchdown for the Bruins a well.

We talked with Bradley about the strenths of his game right now and the areas he'd like to improve on the most heading towards his senior season next year.

"I have a strong arm, good accuracy, I'm pretty smart, and a great leader."

"I want to mostly work on getting bigger and stronger."

For his efforts Bradley was awarded Comeback Player of the Year and named 2nd Team All-Area. He helped guide Orangeburg-Wilkinson to a 9-2 record on the season.

Looking ahead to next season Bradley says he's looking to help his team get a state championship ring. On a personal level he says he'd like to get more rushing yards and get better at reading defenses.

We asked the O-W prospect which quarterback he thinks his game most resembles and why.

"I would say Cam Newton. He is a great passer but can run when it's necessary."

Bradley reports a 3.38 GPA and a 16 on the ACT currently.
