15' Hillcrest SG Randall Shaw Update

2015 Hillcrest SG Randall Shaw is progressing nicely and fresh off being named to the All-Tournament Team at the Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions last weekend more schools will be in the chase for his signature. We spoke with Shaw about his performance in Suwanee last weekend as well as what he's keying on this off season to get better to land more offers.

Randall Shaw Profile

Playing with the Upward Stars last weekend in Suwanee Georgia during the Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions 2015 SG Randall Shaw had a strong showing. The 6'3 guard from Hillcrest High School was a player that many analysts from across the region in attendance were talking about and along with that college coaches are sure to notice as well.

We caught up with Shaw to talk about his performance in Suwanee.

"I feel like I played really well but as a team we did not meet expectations."

For his efforts though Shaw earned All-Tournament Team honors which is huge considering the talent and number of teams participating in Suwanee. So how did it feel for the 2015 prospect to earn that honor?

"It feels pretty good. I'm just trying to do my best every time I step on the court."

His play has sparked the eye of many analysts and college coaches as well. So far UNC-Asheville has let their interest be known and Shaw says he's waiting on his AAU coach to send word of the new suitors soon as they call.

To take his game to the next level after helping Hillcrest win the Upper State AAAA championship this past season Shaw has been trying to work on his all around game but some specific areas as well.

"I'm trying to improve my ball handling and creating space off the dribble."

For now Shaw holds an offer from The Citadel currently and he's waiting to see what other schools show interest here soon. The 2015 prospect says he is wide open to any schools that come and want to recruit him.

We'll keep you updated concerning Shaw's recruitment as we anticipate a number of schools to enter the picture before too long for the 6'3 shooting guard.
