We knew it was only a matter of time before college coaches started to see just how talented 2015 Dutch Fork running back Matt Colburn is. Fresh off a junior season where he had 3,000 total yards from scrimmage and scored 42 touchdowns in helping lead Dutch Fork to a AAAA Division 1 state championship the 5'8 186 pound prospect went from 0 offers to 10 offers now in less than a few months.
On Wednesday morning Colburn hit that double-digit plateau with an offer from an in-state program.
"Furman offered me this morning. That gives me 10 offers now," Colburn said.
It's been an interesting recruitment thus far for Colburn and fighting the stigma of being a shorter back his talents and film have started to stand out to college coaches.
We fully expect Colburn's stock to keep rising as more schools evaluate his film so don't be surprised to see him push towards 15+ offers before too much longer.
Right now Colburn is pound for pound one of the toughest and best prospects in the state regardless of class in our opinion. That magical season last season saw him break numerous school records and he still has another season to add on to his already illustrious career.
We'll keep you up to date with his recruitment so keep it right here with SCPrepNation.com for more of the latest with Matt Colburn.
