One of the hottest prospects in the state is 2015 Dutch Fork running back Matt Colburn as he has surpassed the double digit mark with scholarship offers. On Friday he landed his 13th and he talked with us about his upcoming plans for camps which start this weekend.
"Georgia Southern offered me today," Colburn said.
Colburn is leaving Saturday morning for one of his first camp stops.
"I've got camp with Louisville on Sunday. I'm leaving tomorrow for it. I am psyched because they have been showing a lot of interest and stopped by the school twice to check on me and watched my film a few times."
The interest is mutual for Colburn who helped Dutch Fork win the AAAA Division 1 state championship as a junior piling up 3,000+ yards and 42 touchdowns from scrimmage last season.
The 5'8 186 pound prospect has more camp visits lined up in the coming week too.
"I'm camping with NC State on Wednesday and Tennessee on Friday June 13th."
Both schools, like Louisville, have stopped by Dutch Fork and stepped up their interest and recruitment of Colburn over the past few months. The thought is that strong camp showings could land Colburn potential offers.
We'll speak with Colburn Sunday evening to find out how things went with the Cardinals so keep it right here for more of the latest with the 2015 prospect.
