UP NEXT: 16' Greer WR Dorian Lindsey

During 7 on 7 play 2016 Greer WR Dorian Lindsey caught our eye and he had a solid sophomore season for the Yellow Jackets last season. The 6'1 175 pound prospect has a lot of the tools necessary to be a player college coaches will want to get to know this year. A standout on the field and in the classroom Lindsey will be one of Greer's biggest offensive weapons and he's "UP NEXT" here...

Dorian Lindsey Profile

We went to a recent 7 on 7 event checking on some of the known commodities that were slated to be participating but we caught ourselves enamored with a young wide receiver from Greer High School that kept making plays. Enter 2016 wide receiver Dorian Lindsey. Making an array of acrobatic and deft catches for his team during the tournament he kept showing us he's definitely a college level prospect with two more seasons ahead of him. That's why he's "UP NEXT" with us here on SCPrepNation.com!

Lindsey shared his sophomore season stats and talked about his best game last year as well.

"I had 44 receptions for 565 yards and 4 touchdowns last season. I would say my best game was the first game when we were up against Seneca. I had 10 receptions for 111 yards in that one."

As we mentioned Lindsey clearly looks the part of a top level receiver during 7 on 7 play and he appears ready to ascend to that status to do what he can to help power his Yellow Jackets in the AAA ranks. He talked about the connection he's built with his teammates and especially 2016 quarterback Mario Cusano.

"Yes I feel like this year is very important for me to show everyone what I can really do on the field. Me and Mario have a real good chemistry already."

Lindsey gave us a rundown on what he feels are his biggest strengths right now and what areas he'd like to improve upon to be an even better receiver to prepare for the college level.

"My biggest strengths are my hands my routes. But I am also getting better in my ability to shake defenders."

"I'm trying to improve my speed, footwork, and strength."

The 2016 prospect says he likens his game to another former South Carolina high school standout.

"I would compare myself to A.J. Green because he has good hands and always finds a way to get open."

Lindsey says he has yet to really hear from any schools outside of a few camp invites and questionnaires. From everything we saw of him during 7 on 7 action if he plays anything remotely close to that on the field this season he'll have plenty of suitors after a few games this season. He did tell us some schools he'd really like to hear from soon or during these next two seasons.

"I'd like to hear from Wake Forest, South Carolina, and Georgia."

He talked about the goals he has for his team as well as some personal goals he's set for himself in his junior season.

"The team goals would be to play well together as a team and win a state championship. My personal goal as far as stats are at least average 100 yards per game and to break the school record for most receiving yards in a season."

Lindsey as we mentioned earlier is a strong student in the classroom as well and currently reports a 3.5 GPA.

Don't be surprised to see Lindsey emerge as one of the top young wide receivers here in the Palmetto State and when colleges start to come running we'll have more updates with him here on SCPrepNation.com!
