16' QB Drayton Arnold Lands 1st Offer

Things have been progressing rather nicely for 2016 Myrtle Beach quarterback Drayton Arnold. He capped his sophomore season leading the Seahawks to another AAA state championship and he's had a productive summer playing 7 on 7 with his team. Schools have been looking closely at the talented signal caller and he got some great news today on a special day...

Drayton Arnold Profile

The schools have been inquiring about 2016 Myrtle Beach quarterback Drayton Arnold but on his 16th birthday he landed what might be one of the best gifts he's ever received in the form of his first scholarship offer. Arnold told SCPrepNation.com about the news first and we've got all the particulars here.

"I just received my first offer from Ohio University," Arnold messaged us.

The 2016 signal caller says the staff saw his highlight film and offered him. So what did the coaching staff say they liked about Arnold's game currently?

"They liked me being mobile and being able to escape the pocket when I need to, and my ability to make an accurate throw."

The offer came today on Arnold's 16th birthday.

"Hands down best birthday present ever!"

Other schools in the mix currently include the likes of Clemson, Duke, Charlotte, East Carolina, North Carolina State, and Wake Forest. Arnold camped with Wake Forest recently.

Arnold says those schools have all said they are interested and told him they want him to get on campus for a visit and that they are going to come down and watch him play.

The plan is to take some visits on Saturdays this coming season to check out some schools during gamedays to see what the atmosphere and more is like.

"I plan on visiting Duke, Wake Forest, Ohio, Charlotte, ECU, and Clemson."

SCPrepNation.com will have more updates with Drayton Arnold as his recruitment continues to heat up...
