Myles Smith Profile

Running with the South Carolina Raptors Elite team this season Smith was one of the vital cogs that helped spur the Raptors to a 50-3 record on the AAU circuit. The Raptors won the Ashton Arnold Invitiational, Knoxvegas Heat, Southern Jam Fest, Bob Gibbons Invitational, Nike Memorial Day Classic, and Havoc On The Hardwood tournaments this year.

"The AAU season was a great experience! Running with the South Carolina Raptors Elite was fun because I have played with most of those guys my whole life so the chemistry was always there."

The 2015 prospect talked about what aspects of his game have improved the most since the end of the school season at Riverside.

"My jump shot and controlling the tempo of the game has improved since the end of the year."

His efforts with the Raptors didn't go unnoticed as a number of schools are showing interest in the Riverside prospect.

"I'm hearing from USC Upstate, NC Central, Newberry, Gardner-Webb, UNC-Asheville, and Savannah State so far. I'd say Newberry is showing the most interest, I'm going to Wofford's Elite Camp this Sunday."

Smith talked about what his goals are for his upcoming senior season.

"I want to lead my team to the playoffs, getting named All-State, and land some scholarships."

Running with the Raptors Smith saw plenty of action during the season against opponents and at practices with his teammates. He talked about how those scenarios have helped his game progress.

"Yes, playing with one of the top guards in the country (Evans) and one of the top guards (Hooker) in the state definitely helped my game a lot and hopefully will land me some offers as well."

Moving forward Smith says he's hoping to hear more from the likes of USC-Upstate, Gardner-Webb, and Newberry.
