It was a busy Labor Day weekend for 2016 T.L. Hanna guard Brevin Galloway as he took a nearby visit and also picked up an offer from an out of state college as well. We sat down with Galloway to talk about it all here on SCPrepNation.com.
The talented guard from Anderson made the short ride to Greenville to check out Furman University to see what the Paladins have to offer.
"It was good! It was nicer than I thought it would be. It's the nicest campus I've been on so far I'd say."
The 2016 prospect talked about what all he was able to take in while on the Paladins' campus.
"I saw pretty much everything. The gym, rebuilding of the locker room, the library, the apartments the students stay at, the class buildings, dining hall and the whole athletic facility."
When asked what part of his trip to Furman was his favorite part he replied, "Seeing everything other than the athletic part. Like the cafe, student life, and how nice the campus is besides the basketball."
The Paladin coaches seem to have taken a liking to the guard from Hanna as well.
"They said they were gonna jump on me early, and they were joking around about me committing already. They said that they like my style of play and how I shot the ball well."
So what if the Paladins were to offer Galloway where would they stand?
"Yeah they would be an early front runner as of right now if they were to offer me."
Speaking of offers Galloway received his second one following his visit to Furman from Maryland-Eastern Shore. He talked with us about how things have progressed with their staff.
"I was pretty excited about the Maryland-Eastern Shore offer. I thought I'd have several more offers, but with my surgery I guess coaches are seeing how I'll recover. But for going into my junior season, having two offers is great for me."
"Maryland-Eastern Shore has been recruiting me for a good 4-6 weeks. They started in late July I believe."
His first offer came from UNC-Wilmington.
Galloway says his coach has informed him that Mercer and College of Charleston have contacted him about his junior prospect and have started the recruiting process as well. He says he's got an upcoming visit to Davidson lined up for October 4th.
"Florida Gulf Coast is recruiting me the hardest right now out of everybody. They send lots of mail and a lot of brochures about the school and their athletics."
This month will be a big one for Galloway as a trio of schools are already slated to come see him.
"I'm going to workout in front of Davidson, Furman, and Fairfield this month. It's a workout but we'll have pickup games too."
We'll have more updates with Brevin Galloway as he continues to recover from foot surgery and is hoping to add more offers to his resume this coming season on the hardwood.
