RB Slade Carroll Looking Forward To GSU Visit

We caught up with 2016 Lexington RB Slade Carroll who emerged on the scene last season. The 5'10 195 pound prospect put up some strong numbers for his team despite taking a loss and it has drawn the interest of more schools. As one of the top running backs in the state for 2016 Lexington's Slade Carroll has come out of the gate strong during his junior season. We spoke with Carroll about his first game and also about his recruitment which includes an upcoming visit.

"I had 117 yards on 24 attempts and scored 2 touchdowns."

Although his team lost 31-27 against Westside Carroll had an impressive outing in his first game. In regards to his recruitment things are started to pick up he says.

"I've had Georgia Southern send a couple of things and today I got some more letters from Florida State and Bucknell."

"I will be visiting Georgia Southern this coming Saturday."

The 2016 5'10 195 pound prospect says he's looking forward to checking out the Eagles and what they have to offer during the visit. He also says he saw the Eagles battle and almost upset North Carolina State this past Saturday.

"Yes sir. I think it could be a good fit. They are on the rise! I watched them play NC State and they should have pulled that one off I think."
