The 2016 recruiting class here in South Carolina continues to take shape and it is talent laden early on. One of the top quarterback prospects in the Palmetto State for 2016 is Blythewood's David Isreal. The 6'2 175 pound prospect sat down with SCPrepNation.com on Tuesday to talk about the very latest regarding his recruitment and early junior season thus far.
"In 2 games I've thrown for 428 yards and 3 touchdowns. I'm 39-59 as far as completions go."
"We play Lexington this Friday. Right now we're 1-1. We took a loss against a good team in Rock Hill to start the season. This past Friday we bounced back and got the win against Ridge View."
His play paired with a very strong showing on the camp and combine circuit this past off season has drawn some additional interest from schools early on. He talked about some of the ones he's been hearing from lately.
"I recently received interest from Purdue and I've also received a good bit of mail from Nebraska. Right now NC State is recruiting me the hardest. They invited me to their game on Saturday against Old Dominion."
"Yes sir I will be there in Raleigh on Saturday and will try to get back up there again later on this season also."
Looking for his first scholarship offer still we asked Isreal what he figures he'll feel like when that day comes and he gets the news of his first scholarship offer.
"I'll feel extremely blessed! I will also feel like a lot of hard work, dedication, and sacrifice has paid off."
There are other schools out there that Isreal says he'd like to hear more from in the very near future and he shared them with us.
"I would like to hear from East Carolina more. I camped over the summer with them and did really good. They told me that they are going to be watching me over the course of the season. I also would like to hear more from Louisville."
SCPrepNation.com will have more updates with Isreal as he leads his Bengals against Lexington this Friday and we'll try to catch up with him after his visit to NC State as well so keep it right here for more with the talented 2016 signal caller.
