Catching the eye of numerous college coaches and scouts this off season was 2016 Blythewood CB/WR Khris Pam. With good size and skills he's emerged on the recruiting radar for a number of schools early in the process. We spoke with Pam early this week as he's "UP NEXT" here on SCPrepNation.com!
The 6'0 175 pound prospect says he's hearing from quite a few schools early on after a strong finish last season and impressive run on the combine and camp circuit this past off season. The 2016 prospect shared the list of schools he's heard from thus far.
Pam in fact will be taking a visit to Raleigh this weekend as they host Old Dominion. He told us what the Wolfpack coaches have been doing to show him that early interest.
"I'm getting letters almost every week from them and they invited me up there for a visit this weekend. I am looking forward to visiting with them and checking out the campus and their facilities."
The 2016 standout has gotten off to a fast start early during his junior year. In just two games he's played very well for coach Dan Morgan's Bengals.
"In my first game against Rock Hill I had 8 tackles and last week against Ridge View I had 14 tackles."
When asked what he feels are the biggest strengths and areas for improvement Pam quickly responded, "My mindset is one of my biggest strengths right now. I am more focused and my confidence level is high. I feel like I am the "X" factor."
"I worked hard this off season on getting out of my breaks and trusting myself more."
When asked if he likens his style of play to any particular player he had this to
"Matt Elam. He plays with passion and heart. He's humble and gives 110%. Those are the same characteristics that I have."
The Blythewood prospect already has a pretty concise idea of what he'll weigh heavily when choosing a college destination in a couple years too.
"Well I'll look closely at what field of study or majors they offer, the relationship I have with the coaching staff, and the overall atmosphere."
Still working hard to try and land his first offer we asked Pam how he thinks he'll feel when the day comes.
"I'm going to be really excited and joyous."
With his team currently 1-1 on the year he said that his goals moving forward with his team are to "be the best I can be and not sell myself short."
We'll have an update with Pam soon as he'll visit Raleigh this weekend to check out NC State so keep it right here with SCPrepNation.com! For now check out some of his testing measurables and find out how to folow us on Twitter below...
