One of the biggest receivers in the state, Westwood's Adonus Lee, hasn't put up the numbers like he has in past seasons but he's sacrificing to help his team win. Last night against Lexington he made some big plays for the RedHawks through the air despite their ground and pound attack this year. He's definitely one of the best wide receivers in the state for 2015 and he's picked up a pair of offers despite the change in offense. We caught up with him and he brought us up to speed on the very latest.
So far I believe I've got like 10 catches, I'm not sure how many yards after last night. I'm assuming around 200 something yards on the season so far. We've been pounding the ball on the ground."
That change in offensive philosophies has hurt his numbers but Lee has adapted and talked about it with us.
"Yes it's been tough but I have been blocking my butt off for the team. It gets frustrating not getting the ball a lot which I'm used to from the previous seasons here at Westwood."
The changes haven't stopped schools from showing Lee plenty of love though. He's picked up some more offers recently and updated us about his recruitment.
"I've been hearing from Miami (OH), Georgia Southern, Gardner-Webb, Northwestern, Towson, and Morgan State the most lately. I've got offers from all of those except Northwestern and Towson. I believe Towson may be about to offer me soon though."
Lee has been on the road a bit already and has more visits planned he says.
"I went to Georgia Southern when they played Savannah State. I'm going to Gardner-Webb today and I plan on getting up to Miami (OH) and Towson."
"I've picked up offers from Morgan State and Georgia Southern since the last time we talked. That gives me seven offers now."
Right now with his team's record at 5-0 Lee is all smiles as he continues to work hard on his craft and hopes to land some more offers to push his total to double digits before too long. We'll have more updates here on SCPrepNation.com!
