'16 Byrnes WR/CB Jaylan Foster Talks USC Trip

Playing both ways for the Byrnes Rebels is no easy task but it's something that 2016 CB/WR Jaylan Foster has been able to do to help his team. Colleges like him at both positions and Foster has proved that he can get it done. Thus far ACC & SEC schools are among the ones showing strong interest in Foster and he talks about an SEC visit and more in this quick hitter with SCPrepNation.com.

Jaylan Foster Profile

The Byrnes Rebels are starting to gel after taking a loss against #4 ranked De La Salle (CA) a few weeks ago in a matchup of national powers. Fresh off a solid win over a very good Boiling Springs team we caught up with 2016 CB/WR Jaylan Foster who has been drumming up quite a bit of interest for his talents on both sides of the ball.

"I went to visit South Carolina when they played East Carolina. It was good and I got a chance to see most of their football stuff while I was there. I liked it a lot."

The visit also afforded Foster an opportunity to catch up with some former high school prospects he's friends with and alumni from his own school.

"I got a chance to talk to "Deebo" Tyshun Samuel (Chapman HS), Shaquille Davidson (Gaffney HS), and Nick Jones (Byrnes HS). Basically the guys from the upstate that I know real well."

"I'm hearing from South Carolina a little bit but hopefully I hear more from them moving forward."

Another SEC school has been in the mix as of late too in the Kentucky Wildcats. Foster says things are fairly consistent with mail and some social media contact with the staff. That interest will see Foster take a visit to Lexington for an unofficial visit with the Wildcats as they host South Carolina.

Defensively Foster has 11 first hits, 5 assists, 10 lockdowns, and 2 fumble recoveries so far. On offense he's got 9 catches for 180 yards and 2 touchdowns for the 4-1 Rebels.

Right now Foster says that NC State is recruiting him the hardest and he's planning on taking a trip to Raleigh to see what the Wolfpack have to offer soon.

Byrnes will visit Spartanburg on Friday night and SCPrepNation.com will be there to shoot HD video of all the top prospects for both teams.

Keep it right here with SCPrepNation.com as we'll have more updates with Foster as his recruitment continues to heat up.
