This past week one of the state's most dynamic play makers picked up his 2nd scholarship offer. 2016 Hanahan wide receiver Samuel Denmark has been on the recruiting radar for quite some time and he got some more good news this past week he informed us.
"Virginia Tech offered me on Friday," Denmark told us.
"Coach Shane Beamer offered me."
So the Hokies join Notre Dame with offers out to the talented 2016 prospect and he clarified some things about those offers for us as well.
"Notre Dame was really a verbal offer, they haven't really offered me anything yet but the Virginia Tech is an official offer."
"It is a big relief really. Now I know I have a chance to go somewhere and play."
So how has the junior season been so far for the dynamic playmaker for Hanahan?
"It has been going good. I don't know how many catches I have exactly but I've got around 400 yards and 5 touchdowns. Right now we are 4-3 on the season."
At times Denmark has seen some double teams and gimmick coverages during the season but he says that his coaches have been working hard to still find a way for him to be productive by getting the ball in his hands.
Denmark has been hearing from a number of schools outside of Virginia Tech and Notre Dame too he says.
"I've been hearing from Virginia, Clemson, Wake Forest, Purdue, Tennessee, Florida State, East Carolina, North Carolina, Duke, and NC State. I've been hearing a lot from them and gotten a lot of mail from them all too."
The Hanahan standout has already taken a pair of visits so far this season as well he informed us and talked about both of those trips as well.
"Yes sir I've visited Notre Dame and Clemson already. I'm going to visit Wake Forest this Saturday too. Notre Dame and Clemson they both were pretty fun visits. I liked how both campuses were not too spread out from everything. The games were very electrifying throughout too. Notre Dame let us join them in the player walk to the stadium and I thought that was pretty cool. The players look liked they had fun throughout the game and afterwards for both schools too."
We'll catch up with Denmark following his upcoming visit to Wake Forest this weekend to see how his time in Winston-Salem went so keep it right here with SCPrepNation.com for more of the very latest...
