2016 Northwestern High linebacker Trae'von Hinton got things started in a hurry this season for the Trojans and he's seen his stock rise consistently since game one. Not too long ago the 6'2 210 pound linebacker made a visit to Auburn and he talked with SCPrepNation.com extensively about his trip.
"I went to Auburn a few weekends ago. I was able to see the campus and their tradition after winning the game. They throw tissue on the trees. I never heard about them doing that before so that was cool. I was able to see the team warm up also. I met some of the players and got a chance to speak to the defensive head coach who also coaches their linebackers. That was my whole experience."
So how did Hinton enjoy his trip to Auburn? We asked him to rate it on a 1-10 scale with 10 being the very best.
"I'd give it a 10! I loved the atmosphere there and the fans made all of us fit in as they were greeting us."
Hinton says his time with coach Ellis Johnson they talked about coming down for camps and trying to get back to Auburn for more game visits.
The highlight of Hinton's trip was, "meeting the players, being in that atmosphere, and meeting the coaches."
Since the start of the season the 2016 prospect feels his ability to make open field tackles has improved the most to this point.
Another school that has been in contactly recently with Hinton is Florida A&M. Hinton continues to play well for Northwestern who currently holds an 8-2 record on the season and will play their final regular season game on Friday against Gaffney. Hinton is uncertain of his exact numbers so far this season but the Trojans have held big leads at halftime and they don't play their starters much into the second half usually.
