All-State WR Dashawn Davis Lands 1st Offer

Yesterday we ran a story questioning why things were so quiet for All-State wide receiver Dashawn Davis. Last night one program changed the 2015 prospect's whole life as he landed his first scholarship offer. Come inside with SCPrepNation.com to find out which school became the first to offer the talented prospect from Chapman High School.

Dashawn Davis Profile

You could almost feel the joy and relief in Dashawn Davis' words last night as he messaged us as this message came across my phone.

"Lenoir-Rhyne just offered me!" Davis told me.

Earlier on Tuesday I wrote an article wondering why things have been so quiet for the record breaking All-State wide receiver from Chapman High School. Unbelievable numbers. Check. Dynamic prospect. Check. Strong GPA in the classroom. Check. Many of the things coaches desire in potential prospects but nobody had pulled the trigger with an offer yet until Lenoir-Rhyne gave him that great news last night.

"Thanks man I was so excited when he told me. He said that he has been waiting to tell me all week because they have been calling me and stuff. It feels great! I couldn't believe it at first but it felt like a weight has been lifted off of me."

As we mentioned yesterday despite double teams and gimmick coverages during his senior season Davis had 83 catches for 1,247 yards and 13 touchdowns. He set school records with 218 catches and 3,573 receiving yards. He also scored 35 career touchdowns during his career for the Panthers. Keep in mind he shared catches last season as a junior with current South Carolina freshman Deebo Samuel so it speaks volumes to his talents and the kind of faith the Panthers' staff has in Davis.

Expect more schools to come calling now for Davis once his highlights start to make the round with college coaches but for now Lenoir-Rhyne stands alone as the school who helped Davis flash one of the biggest smiles he's ever had in his life. We'll have more with Davis here on SCPrepNation.com so stay tuned!
