'16 Greer WR Dorian Lindsey Grabs 1st Offer

Things are starting to happen for 2016 Greer High wide receiver Dorian Lindsey as he picked up his 1st scholarship offer from an in-state school. The talented 6'2 180 pound playmaker was one of the top prospects for a strong Yellow Jackets squad this season and he's got plans to attend Junior Days with some ACC schools showing strong interest early. We've got it all inside here...

Dorian Lindsey Profile

2016 Greer High wide receiver Dorian Lindsey was a player we felt was going to be an impact player to watch in the junior class and apparently college coaches are starting to see that potential as well as he picked up his first scholarship offer on Thursday. Lindsey spoke with SCPrepNation.com about that offer and the very latest regarding his recruitment.

"I got an offer from Presbyterian College," Lindsey said.

"It feels great to get that first offer! Coach Joey Orck offered me and he said that he likes my size and talent."

There are already a number of other schools who've shown an early interest in Lindsey too. He gave us the rundown on what those coaches have been saying to him as well.

"Wake Forest and Georgia Tech visited me at school. Wake's coach told me that I should come to Junior Day and to some of their camps this summer. I definitely want to get up there and see what they have to offer and workout at their camps."

"Georgia Tech told me that they like wide receivers like me who can make plays and they pretty much said the same thing that Wake Forest did, that they want me to come to Junior Day and camps."

Another school showing interest is Appalachian State which he visited this past season.

Some prospects often slack off when they get an offer but that won't be the case with Lindsey. For now Lindsey continues to hone his craft. The 2016 prospect says he has been working on adding strength as he has a weightlifting class currently. He's also maintaining a "3.7 or 3.8 GPA" in the classroom.

"The offer has only motivated me even more to try and earn more, the grind doesn't stop!"

During his junior season Lindsey had 62 catches for 1,090 yards and 19 touchdowns. He had 1,671 all-purpose yards and also made 3 interceptions playing on defense as well.

So who may be the next to offer Lindsey?

We'll see and keep you posted here on SCPrepNation.com.
