Making steady progress this season was 2016 Seneca linebacker C.J. Greenlee and he continues that momentum into the off season. Staying busy and working out Greenlee has lost some weight and he's also picked up his first scholarship offer on Monday.

"I just got my first offer from Coastal Carolina," Greenlee messaged us.

We asked the ballhawking linebacker how it felt when he got the news?

"It feels awesome man! I wouldn't ever imagine this ever happening."

We asked Greenlee which Coastal Carolina coach extended him the offer and he replied, "Coach Moglia, the head coach. He told me what he likes most about my game is that I go hard and don't give up on any plays."

The Seneca prospect also shared what he knows and likes about the Chanticleers as well.

"What I like most about Coastal is that it's close to home and it's by the beach for a nice little get away sometimes."

"I'm also hearing from Cornell, Wofford, BYU, Yale, and Mount St. Joseph. Out of those I'd say Mount St. Joseph and Cornell are recruiting me the hardest."

Greenlee has been hard at work this off season to work on multiple aspects of his game and things seem to be progressing nicely he says.

"I've been working out every day ever since the last playoff game second round. What I've been working more on are my read steps more to get quicker to the ball also my drop steps for coverage. So basically a lot of footwork drills. I've also getting bigger and stronger. I'm 6'0 222 pounds now, I've lost weight because I've been working out so much."

For his junior season Greenlee had 127 tackles, 2 sacks, and 1 interception. His efforts earned him 1st team all-region honors, player of the week honors, an MVP award at a combine, and an award from the Offense-Defense Junior Bowl Game that he played in as well.
