Jaylan Foster Profile

The dilemma for college coaches when it comes to 2016 Byrnes CB/WR Jaylan Foster is where they want to line him up at. The two-way standout for the Rebels had a strong junior season and he continues to work hard this off season in an effort to land his first scholarship offer. He talked about his recruitment as he very well could be on the verge of seeing his first offer he says. We've got all the scoop here on

"Lately I've been getting a lot of invites to Junior Days, spring practices, and some people are talking about offers."

"I've gotten Junior Day or spring practice invites from Wake Forest, Towson, Georgia Southern, Miami (OH), SC State, and Liberty."

Foster told us the schools who've mentioned possibly offering soon are Liberty, SC State, and Miami (OH). The junior standout says the school who offers him first will "most definitely get extra consideration being the first to do so."

Finishing up a successful basketball season recently Foster has turned his focus back to football. On the hardwood Foster helped the Rebels to a 21-5 record on the season averaging 12.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 3.1 steals per game.

"I've been working on my speed, gaining weight, my man coverage, and route running to try and get better. I want to be at my best when I go to these camps."

Foster says the next camps or Junior Days he's got lined up are at UCF, Charlotte, Georgia Southern, and Wake Forest. He says Towson is recruiting him the hardest out of everyone currently. There are some other schools out there that he wants to hear a lot more from in the near future though.

"I'd like to hear more from Kentucky, Clemson, East Carolina, Georgia, South Carolina, Pittsburgh, and Old Dominion."

He also had a message he wanted to share with all suitors.

"I just want college coaches to know that whoever gives me a chance is really going to get my all."

We'll have more updates with Foster as we expect things to pick up for him soon on the recruiting front. For now check out some of his game highlights from arguably his best game this past season vs Spartanburg High who went on to win the AAAA Division 2 state championship after losing to Foster and the Rebels.
