Around the state of South Carolina 2016 safety K.J. Chamberlain is starting to become a name that high school football fanatics are well aware of and it seems that college coaches are starting to take notice of the prospect from Emerald High as well. We caught up with Chamberlain recently as he's landed his 15th scholarship offer and he was just at Wake Forest over the weekend working out for the Demon Deacons at camp.
"Wake Forest was great! I got some good work in. I enjoyed the coaches and they enjoyed having me there they said."
So what was the best part of his camp visit with the Demon Deacons?
"My favorite part was when I got some one on one time with the coaches at the end of the camp. They said that I performed well and that they would talk it over with the other coaches and that they'll get in touch with me very soon."
Chamberlain says he felt like he was one of the top performers at safety during the camp in Winston-Salem.
His latest offers have come from Hampton, Charleston Southern, and Georgia State. Still there remains a number of other schools who are wanting to take a closer look at Chamberlain and he'll hit a few more school camps before too long he told us.
"I'm going to North Carolina on the 19th I think and then after that I'm going to camp with South Carolina."
We'll continue to track Chamberlain's recruitment as he remains one of the hottest commodities in the state for the 2016 class...stay tuned!
