One prospect we've been keeping a close eye on is 2018 Southside CB/WR Quavian White. Having seen him at the Elite Position Training Football Skills Showcase and at a couple of training sessions with EPT there's plenty to like about the 5'8 160 pound prospect who still has 3 years ahead of him.
Having made multiple camp stops here in the past few weeks the 2018 prospect talked about those stops and what those coaches have said to him.
"I went to NC State and it was pretty good. The DB coach Barlow was interested in me and he's the recruiter for my area. He had already known about me because of coach Ramon Robinson and he said I was a pretty good player and that he will be staying in touch with me."
"I also went to ECU. They really loved me, what I liked about ECU was they actually paid close attention to the players seeing who has the talent to play there in the future. They paid attention to all the players instead of just the good ones and they were always on us and correcting our flaws. I saw that ECU is just a big family they don't have just a hall for just football a hall just for baseball etc. They all have the trophies in the case together and they were talking to us about themselves being a big family."
White got some positive news from the ECU staff as well.
"ECU told me that they would be really shocked if they don't offer me, they want me to come back and watch some of their football games and they were like I'm just an upcoming sophomore and were just saying imagine when I'm a senior. They showed me a lot of interest."
"They liked how I can get off my james how good I am on planting my foot into the ground and running good routes. Also selling the fake. I worked out at both wide receiver and cornerback."
We'll keep tracking Quavian White's recruitment as we are projecting him as a high level prospect in the 2018 class and with the feedback he's gotten so far it would appear that he's well on his way. Stay tuned here on SCPrepNation.com.
