Decision date set for K.J. Chamberlain

The state's leader in interceptions (14) last season, Emerald S/CB K.J. Chamberlain, says he's done taking visits for now. He took a ride to Georgia State and talked about what he likes most about the Panthers as he is set to announce a decision later this month. The 2016 prospect has his Top 10 list and we've got all the details inside here on!

"I just got done with my visit to Georgia State," Chamberlain text us on Wednesday afternoon.

The 2016 prospect recently named his current Top 10 list and informed us that he plans on making a decision later this month.  He talked about his time in Atlanta with the Panthers and his thoughts on their program.

"I loved it!  They have a very nice environment."

So what were some of the key highlights of his visit to Georgia State earlier today?

"How I met some of the players on the team.  One of them was a safety and just by talking to him I know he has great leadership skills.  I really liked how they are located downtown which sets them up perfect by having great opportunities to see more things in the downtown area."

The visit to Georgia State Chamberlain says is his last one prior to the season's start and he's set forth an announcement date for August 17th.

We asked the state's leader in interceptions a season ago if he was comfortable with his current Top 10 schools and if there were others who decided to offer him in the midst of the season if he'd listen to what they had to say?

Chamberlain's Top 10 list is Appalachian State, Charlotte, Coastal Carolina, Colorado State, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, Miami (Ohio), Old Dominion, South Carolina State, and Western Carolina.

"Yes sir I am comfortable with those schools.  I would consider any school that wants to recruit me very much.  I think some will come in during the middle of the season so I'm expecting it."

Having taken his final visit for now we couldn't resist Chamberlain if he already has an idea of where he'll commit yet or not?

"It's all in the air right now but I'll know the day before I announce."
