Braxton Westfield Christ Church wide receiver 2016 Wofford Clemson

One of the state's top wide receivers in the 2016 class, Braxton Westfield, doesn't do a whole lot of talking but his play on the field has spoken for him these past couple of seasons for Christ Church. The 6'3 wideout has been a steady force for the Cavaliers in their successful march in recent seasons and he's picked up quite a few scholarship offers along the way. We caught up with Westfield to talk about his recruitment as of late.

With the Christ Church Cavaliers dominating the 1A scene for the past 4-5 seasons with repeated state championships they've had a number of standouts who've gone on to play on the collegiate level.  One of their top seniors this season is 2016 wide receiver Braxton Westfield.  We spoke with the 6'3 prospect about what's been going on lately with his recruitment as he already holds a number of offers.

"I've been getting the same amount of interest from the schools that have offered me already."

The 2016 prospect took a visit to an ACC school two Saturdays ago he says.

"I went to Clemson last week, and I'm going to Wofford this Saturday."

"It was a good visit.  Clemson really didn't talk to me but it was still a good visit."

He had this to say about his time at Wofford, "Yes sir.  I'm looking forward to it.  It should be a fun time."

"I know I'm going to take an official visit to James Madison but I'm not sure when though.  I'm going to go up there for a game then later for for my official."

Westfield says he's uncertain about any other officials at this point yet.

Prior to last Friday's game the 2016 standout says he's had 170+ receiving yards and 3 touchdowns.

With offers currently from James Madison, Presbyterian, Georgia State Panthers, Elon, Campbell, and Charleston Southern the 2016 prospect has options on the table to choose from.  We asked the talented and physical wideout what his current timetable was regarding his recruitment and possibly trimming his list down.

"I'm going to narrow the list down over the next month or so.  Then I'll make a decision after that."
