SC Pigskin Prep Introduces 10 to watch out

Wilson looking to lead Cross High School to the next level as one of the Low Country's brightest stars.

One of the top players performing in the Class 1A ranks is Fred Wilson of Cross High School. Playing for Cross Linebacker Coach Wright, Wilson has shown that he has the potential to be the real steal of the Class of 2003.  He could finish the season as  one of the best linebackers in the state.

Cross is a small high school but Wilson is no small player, neither is he a slow player. He stands at 6'1 and weighs 225. He runs in the mid 4.60 range. He was a terror to all the teams he played against last year. He lead the team in tackles 125 and is a powerful hitter.

His brother is USC Sophomore Rod Wilson who is listed as second string safety behind Rashad Faison. Fred comes from a wonderful family who has a list of athletes that attended Cross High. He has already heard from Penn State as well as, Clemson and USC. He just attended a week long camp at USC and the USC coaches think he's a great athlete with a huge upside that the Gamecocks will offer in the near future.

Fred and the rest of the Trojans are looking for a strong 2002 season and a trip deep into the Class A playoffs.
