GLORY DAYS !!!!!!!!!
Words can not describe the feeling that I had around 6:50 this morning as "my lads" in red, white and blue shocked the world and beat one of the best teams in the world and the reigning player of the year. As a sat there almost too nervous to watch, I was awe inspired by the heart that the Americans showed in the win.
As a guy who loves sports like I do, I rate this as one of the top 10 sporting moments in my lifetime. I have followed this team for years. I used to go to Mexican restaurants to watch USA games because no US TV networks showed them. Me and 20 Mexican guys watching and not all them of them happy with me or my USA chants. 2 years ago in Hawaii, I got up at 6:00 AM on a Sunday to watch a qualifier at a Bar in Hilo. I have seen this team play and have cried, hurt, and ached with them and now the rewards are here. I could not be happier. I am so proud of our young players and can't not believe how well they represented us in front of a billion people.
So guys, the bandwagon is open and now is the time to jump on. This team is exciting and with a little luck and hard work, a victory over the South Koreans will see us through to the next round.
Glory Days Indeed.......and we all needed that.
