CAMDEN SC – Four mini-games took place Friday night at the 27th annual Shrine Club Football Jamboree at Zemp Stadium.
In the opener, the AC Flora Falcons fell behind 6-0 against Lakewood but a second period touchdown and a field goal on the game's last play lifted the Falcons to a 9-6 win.
In game number two, the White Knoll Timberwolves scored a first quarter touchdown and made that hold up in a 6-0 win over North Central. Game three saw the unveiling of the new spread offense at Lugoff-Elgin as the Demons rolled to a 21-7 victory over Buford.
In the nightcap, the defending AAA champion Camden Bulldogs battled Crestwood and thanks to a late safety scored by the second team defense, the Dogs came out on top of the Knights 2-0.
All teams participating will have another week of scrimmages and jamborees before opening the season on Aug 29-30.
