Sessions Making Progress Out West For Nevada

Ramon Sessions went almost half way across the country to play D1 college basketball and the youngster from Myrtle Beach High School is having the last laugh as he's become a force for the Nevada Wolfpack. Inside an update on the former SC prep star as he helps Nevada into the upper echelon of college basketball.

Just a few short years ago Ramon Sessions was "the man" at Myrtle Beach High School and now the former South Carolinian is staking claim at it again for the Nevada Wolfpack in his junior season. There was never a lack of playing time for Sessions in his first two years but it seems as the light has come on full blast for the Myrtle Beach native.

His point production has risen from 4.7 per game last season to 13.3 per game this year but it's the fashion in which he's knocking down shots. Sessions has become a much better shooter and a smarter player as his shooting percentages have all risen across the board. Shooting a blistering 53.3% from the field, 52.9% from the 3 point land, and 84.6% from the charity stripe Sessions is easily one of the most improved players in not only the Western Athletic Conference but all of the nation. Add to the eight additional points per game this season 4.3 rpg and 4.5 apg and Sessions is one of the big reasons why the Wolfpack are currently ranked #15 in the nation with a 14-1 record.
