Furman Snags Pair Of In-State Commitments

The Furman Paladins (Greenville, SC) have always been one of the top teams in I-AA football and Wednesday they received commitments from two in-state standouts. Come inside for the latest.

Furman has always managed to remain near the top of I-AA football in the past few decades with a national championship and a few national championship game appearances. Head coach Bobby Lamb and staff always manages to find the superb student-athletes that can excel in the classroom where Furman is at the forefront but also on the football field where the Paladins remain strong.

The Paladins received a letter of intent from Christ Church QB Rick Furman who at 6'3 185 pounds has good size and more than adequate speed when forced out of the pocket. SCPrepNation.com was able to catch Christ Church in action once this year and their QB was very impressive with a dazzling performance.

The Christ Church star lead the Cavaliers to a record setting season as their signal caller. Rick could get a look at QB but our guess is that his athletic ability will probably allow him to see the field earlier at another position possibly in the defensive backfield.

Emerald High School standout LB Kadarron Anderson also inked with a letter of intent to the Furman Paladins. Anderson at 6'1 210 pounds has a good frame already and over time could develop into solid player for the Paladins who've had some success sending players on the professional ranks on the defensive side of the ball.
